Congratulations to Tommy Hanifen, the winner of the Honda Trimmer from our 2018 ATVANS Lottery. |
In what can only be described as the best ATVANS lottery ever with record ticket sales, record club participation, top notch corporate sponsorship from Honda Canada and Pro Cycle in Dartmouth and a great crowd to witness the draw at the Atlantic Outdoor Show on Sunday afternoon.
The winners spanned the province again this year. First prize, a Honda Pioneer, went to Francis Verstraten of Cumberland County. Second prize, a Honda generator, went to Bear River’s Mark Jacques and third prize, a Honda trimmer, goes to Tommy Hanifen from Antigonish County.
Although final numbers are not tallied it looks like the lottery will have raised over 50,000 dollars for clubs across Nova Scotia. These funds are used to support trail development and maintenance, club programs and projects and other worthy endeavours.
We would like to thank both club and board volunteers who worked hard to make this a success. Also, a big thank you to everyone who supported the lottery by purchasing a ticket. Planning is well underway for the 2019 ATVANS Lottery; stay tuned for an announcement coming soon.
