“TIR Update on Share The Road Pilot Project”

“We are moving forward with the pilots and are grateful to the advice and assistance ATVANS has provided ,and in particular, the tireless efforts of Cory Robar and others.  We are in the drafting stage with respect to the necessary regulations (under both the Motor Vehicles Act and the OHV Act) to bring the pilots into effect, the lawyers are on it and we are moving it through the process.  As you know, the proof of concept is approved and the drafting work is proceeding  it is down to the regulations approval process.  I think it is safe to say that these pilots are moving forward, in no small measure, due to the positive engagement and leadership of ATVANS.  We are looking forward to working with ATVANS on an evaluation framework for the pilots and our continued close working relationship as the pilots roll out.  I am confident, we are going to get this done.”
