Parking and Registration Notes
Just a clarification that all Rally parking will be at two sites:
- Main Parking Area: The large parking area on Hiking Trail Road This is accessed via the Bowater Mersey Road in Head of St. Margaret’s Bay and will cross over the 103 Highway on way to parking site.
- Secondary Parking Area: Tantallon Elementary School
This is across from the Esso gas station on French Village Station Road in Tantallon, this is a smaller site and may fill up quicker.
At both parking sites there will be signs directing you to the Railbed which will take you to our registration site at 15 Station Road in Head of St. Margaret’s Bay with direct access from Railbed.
If the registration parking lot is full with OHVs you can park on railbed and just walk up to registration building (right next to railbed) to register. Please make sure there is room for railbed users to pass through.
From there after registering, you will return to Hiking Trail Road main parking area via the same railbed and RALLY START is from there.
At the end of day, you return to Registration site to get marked as returned, pick up prizes if you won, and if desired have soup or hotdogs and a drink (no charge) before heading back to either parking site.
Railbed is multi-use and there will be two-way traffic so speed limit is 20 kms or less if meeting other users and it is only 2-3 kms from parking areas.
Signs will direct you to all spots.
Just look up Bowater Mersey Road and once on that it is straight to parking.
There is NO vehicle parking or unloading at registration site, only access to there is by OHV via railbed! Thank you.
